Web Design: Redesign

The Cedar Tree Institute "I already have a website. Why would I need it redesigned?"

Ask yourself the following questions.

  • Does your site require aesthetic work? (e.g. uncomplimentary color scheme, an unintuitive layout)
  • Do some pages take a long time to load?
  • Does your site contain outdated content?
  • Are there inconsistencies on your web pages? (e.g. mismatched font styles)
  • Does your site have poor quality graphics? (e.g. jagged edges, long download times)
  • Are your competitor's websites more professional-looking than your own?
  • Would you like to add new content to your site?
  • Are there any broken links?
  • Does your site appear unsatisfactorily in certain web browsers?
  • Do you have trouble updating your site, or do you lack the technical know-how to do so?
  • Are you uncertain that your site meets accessibility requirements?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you might wish to consider a redesign of your site.
